Certifications for Product Safety

Safety and trust in your products, thanks to certifications.

Certifications verify the safety of products and ensure that they do not pose a threat to the people who use them. In the EU, for example, a CE certification is necessary to be able to place products on the market. These European directives define the safety criteria that the products must meet.

Products that do not comply with these regulations may not be traded or used in the EU.

testxchange helps you find the right partner for your certification request.

Frequent Test Requests

These types of certifications are frequently requested from testxchange and are only a small selection. We support companies every day with certification projects of all kinds.

Certification According to the EU Medical Device Directive

A particularly important area for safety in the medical sector is the certification of medical devices, which is clearly defined in the EU and regulated by law. Medical products are certified in accordance with the EU Medical Devices Directive MDR, which replaces the previously valid EU Directives 93/42 / EEC and 90/385 / EEC (for implantable medical devices). In a so-called conformity assessment procedure, medical products are classified based on their risk potential for patients and users.

Certification According to 2009/48/EG

Another example of regulated authorization through certification is the verification of the safety of children's toys. In the EU this is regulated in the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48 / EC and in the US in the Children's Product Certificate (CPC). Since children need special protection against dangers, these EU directives define safety standards to test product characteristics such as flammability, chemical properties or adequate hygiene properties. Only after a valid certification procedure children's toys may be placed on the market.

Your Partner for All Types of Examinations

We not only help you to find the right partner for your certification project but also for all inspection, calibration or testing projects.

There is a vast amount of tests which every product has to pass before it can be brought to market. The tests range from legal to technical requirements.

When performing a calibration measuring devices are verified for quality assurance and standard adherence and the deviation of a measuring device against another device is determined.

Inspection services help provide security and quality during the manufacturing process, prior to delivery and during operation.
