Find and commission the best construction lab

A construction laboratory investigates materials needed to construct buildings and structures. These include, for example, mineral building materials such as mortar, concrete, screed, aggregate and binder as well as metal, glass and plastics. These are tested in construction laboratories for various properties, such as load-bearing capacity, compressive strength, chemical composition and reaction to various external influences. For example, it can be determined if and how building materials corrode when passing through a freeze-thaw cycle. Several construction laboratories in Germany are operated by universities and are thus at the interface to the latest developments in building material research.
